Booooooom Goes The Dynamite
February 28Thanks so much for your bloggy-break support. I’m back and I’ve missed you so… Next week will be taken slow, but I promise to post the regulars like Paper Artist Wednesday and Friday Eye Candy. I’m sure there will be a Monday post in there as well.

I didn’t want to wait too long to tell you about Booooooom’s new project. I will be submitting to this, but really need to sift through my magazines for the best option. If you do submit, let me know in the comments so I can check yours out. Jeff’s blog is so dynamite and his projects provoke a fun sense of community. If you aren’t a regular reader (I’m suggesting to you now)- you should be!
{my play on words is just so original, huh? yeah… okay, but I couldn’t help myself!}

Looking Out
February 24
I’m still here… watching your blogs, but not tending to mine. The inspiration will come to me one day soon. Well wishes in the meantime!

I fell in love with this photo on i.anton’s flickr.
I’ve been catching up and doing some reading. Hope all is well with you…. xo
Thanks for all the “happiness is” submissions!

What Is…
February 17
I’m back, but only for a blink. Consider me still on hiatus, but I wondered if you could help me with a little project? In less than 10 words, what is your happiness? How would you define it? Maybe start with “Happiness is….”
I will tell you more about the project soon and if your definition really rocks and resonates with plenty, you might find yourself with a free sample of the result! Thanks in advance- I’ll be around soon, I promise.

One Of Those Days
February 16
Call it what you will (case of the mondays) but I will be taking a hike from the blogosphere for a bit. I feel like I belong in Office Space lately and need some time to regroup. I’m a bad blogger. I promise to be back soon. In the meantime, Lil Bee had a lovely post that really resonated with me as of late. I’ll miss you lovelies…
{Office Space is my favorite movie ever. Maybe that’s because I live Ron Livingston’s character…}

L is for the way…

The LOVE project is something you should know about. I love the idea and think you will too. If you’ve already seen it, there are some lovely new additions to the pool!
Recently I purchased some love window cards. I’ve had such a fun time hiding them for my hubby to find when he least expects it. Each card has a different quote with space to write your own message on the back. A little bit of the “squish” factor, but oh-so-cute!
I’ll be making pies soon! Hope you have a fantastic weekend. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Paper Artist Wednesday

We don’t do gifts for Valentine’s Day, but I might make this lovely DIY Sweetie Pie for my hubby- who happens to love pie! Download the box template as well as the recipe.

If we did do gifts, I would think about the always fantastic Rob Ryan‘s screenprints on Etsy.
Are you making your own Valentines?

Who Said Beer Cans Can’t Look Good?
February 10
Pretty packaging for beer by Sweedish graphic designer Anders Jönsson. “Familjen” meaning family, is a fictitious brand of beer- 6 cans, each with a unique taste for the different members of the family. Love the labels!

My New Mantra
February 9
My weekend was filled with letterpress goodness. Saturday, I had an amazing one-on-one at a community art space named All Along Press here in St. Louis to have a few of my questions answered. They were kind and extremely knowledgeable- I walked out of there feeling like a sponge! If you live in the area, I highly recommend checking them out. When I returned home, I put some finishing touches on Pearl and now all that is needed are supplies. The vintage cutter I purchased still has a lot of work to be done, but I am really enjoying the process. Keep your fingers crossed for end of February!
The work move went fine, thanks for the well wishes. I was glad to leave it behind and focus on what I really want to do this weekend. The weather was unseasonably warm so I enjoyed a bit of sun. Hope you had a fantastic weekend!

Paper Artist Wednesday
February 4No doubt you’ve seen the Chanel Haute Couture show somewhere on the blogosphere, but this is too good to pass up! The idea was a blank page with the theme “everything begins on paper.” The dresses have a beautiful floral theme with stunningly intricate paper cut headpieces by Katsuya Kamo.
Even the decor was paper!
That is some serious paper art. Check out the rest at Chanel.
{Thanks to the amazing Cindy for sending me this last week, I wanted to wait for Wednesday to post it.}

The Perfect Gift
February 3Remember this? Well, the same company, Lollyphile has created an “underground candy revolution” that I must be a part of. Candyphile is a monthly delivery of candy goodness. What a perfect Valentine’s gift. (hint, hint)
Red Hots will always be my favorite Valentine’s candy. They are wickedly addicting.

Happy Groundhog Monday
February 2I got down and dirty with miss Pearl this weekend. Not sure how many of you are interested in the refurbishing process… If you are, let me know and I’ll post the photos in my Flickr stream.
This was by far my favorite Super Bowl commercial this year. (Maybe it’s because I can relate!)
Hope you had a great weekend.
