Friday Eye Candy
July 31Don’t you just love it when talented people you know start creating an online presence for themselves? France in the Springtime is one of my favorite sets on my mother-in-law’s photostream. The colors and angles are so beautiful, it makes me feel like I’m there.
Check out the rest of her albums as well. Especially this one.
Have a good weekend!

Happy Monday
July 27Lately I’ve been dreaming I’m in the circus. Last night I was a trampoline jumper, sometimes I do tricks on the elephants. Maybe I need a new job!!
These photos from the Elena Kalis “Underwater series” are a circus party in a dream. If I stare at them long enough, I wonder if I’ll dream I’m there.
It’s a good Monday for me. This is my last 5 day week at my job. I’ve decided I need more time with my press and more time with my husband. Our weekends have been full of to do lists and I want more time with him. So starting next week, I will no longer be working Fridays! If you can’t tell, I’m pretty stoked…
Have a good week.

Paper Artist Wednesday
July 22This Paper Artist Wednesday is my favorite yet. Here’s why:
My husband and I were married at The Sheldon Concert Hall here in St. Louis. (The history of the building is very interesting so be sure to click that link!) We were thinking for our 4 year anniversary of going skydiving, but the idea of paying loads of money per second just really hasn’t excited me about it yet. I came across a fantastic paper cutter and instantly had the best anniversary idea. We asked artist Joe Bagley to take this photo and do something great with it.
Now being the paper lover I am, I asked Joe to take photos of his process so I could share it here with you. Here’s a peek:
{crazy knife work, right?!}
The final product couldn’t be more stunning:
Thanks for our favorite piece of art, Joe. We are thrilled!

Our pup has a soft tissue injury to her shoulder and is on 2 weeks of confinement! She’s on some meds to help her be more comfortable, so a sleeping dog is a common sight in our house this week. (The golden up top is so sweet and reminds me of Stella and her baby duck toy.) Have a good weekend. We plan on moving the sleeping pup to the outdoor sofa to enjoy the weather

Chance City
July 6Currently enjoying the thought behind this sculpture by Jean Shin.
“Chance City is made up of thousands of discarded scratch-and-win lottery tickets that have been arranged into an urban complex, constructed as a house of cards. Embodying the failed hopes of ordinary people, the worthless lottery tickets become building blocks for monumental, yet temporary structures. While no glue was used to make these towering and precariously-balanced edifices, they are sturdier than they look. The structures, literally held up by gravity and friction, are symbols of the American Dream representing how labor, money and resilience defy the odds of a fragile existence.”

Happy Monday & All That
July 6So to catch up, “rabbit rabbit to you”… Hope you had a fantastic 4th of July weekend.
I’ve been a tad busy and my blogging hobby was becoming a job, so I needed a break. That’s for sticking it out with me!

Saw this over on my favorite tumblr and had to repost it because you know how much I love The Little Prince.
Over the break, I’ve been redecorating the living room, planning vacation, brewing beer with the hubby, playing video games and listening to Kings of Leon a lot! (love that band.)
I’ll try to be a better blogger
